The coronavirus epidemic continues to surround us. A new one was added to the delayed auto shows. The North American International Auto Show, or Detroit Auto Show, as it is known, will not open its doors this year. The venue, TCF Center, will be turned into a health center to help in the fight against the coronavirus.

Officials said the region is very critical for people’s health, the Detroit Free Press reported. They asked for the event to be canceled. The field hospital to be established in the venue will allow the testing and quarantine of COVID-19 suspects in Detroit and around.

Rod Alberts, director of the event, is said: “Although we are disappointed, there is nothing more important to us than the health, safety and well-being of the citizens of Detroit and Michigan, and we will do what we can to support our community’s fight against the coronavirus outbreak,”.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the Detroit area is increasing day by day. In the region, where there are 1381 cases, 31 people have died from the epidemic.
