Mazda has made some updates for the 2020 Mazda CX-5. The vehicle will face its competitors with a 165 hp Skyactiv-G petrol engine. Cylinder locking systems will also be available for new SUV model.

With the new system, Mazda CX-5 will be able to reduce fuel consumption by closing the two cylinders in its engine. In this way, up to 8 percent reduction in CO2 emissions was achieved in WLTP test procedures.

The Mazda CX-5 does not include the SkyActiv-X unit with SCCI ignition system. Instead, there is an updated SkyActiv-G. The Skyactiv-G unit is an older engine than the Skyactiv X unit on the Mazda 3 and CX-30.

Multimedia screen has been updated too

Updates include a multimedia screen and a navigation system. Also, extra sound insulation is among the new features.

Several updates have been made to the CX-5 since its launch in 2017. Last year, the vehicle was updated with new suspension components and anti-roll bar. In addition, high speed stability was increased with the G-Vectoring Control system.

Prices for the 2020 CX-5 will start at £ 27,030. Available in the UK starting April 1
