Volkswagen Touareg R: Specs and features

Volkswagen revealed the new plug-in hybrid model Touareg R, which will join the Passat GTE and the soon-to-be-announced Golf GTE.The new hybrid SUV model is based on the third generation released in 2018.

Specs of Volkswagen Touareg R 

It produces 340 hp with the 3.0-liter V6 TSI petrol engine and 136 hp with the electric engine, offering a total of 462 horsepower and 700 Nm.

The power generated by the electric assisted engine is transferred to the 4Motion four-wheel drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

The maximum speed of the car  limited to 250 km. But im the electric driving mode its 140 km / h. The 14.1 kwh battery placed on the floor of the vehicle provides 43 to 48 kilometers of electric driving. The Touareg R hybrid completes acceleration of 0-100 km / h in about 5 seconds.

Design

The new SUV comes as standard with 20-inch wheels, but optionally larger 22-inch wheels are also available. The new Touareg R has a driver-oriented interior in the cabin. It has a 12-inch digital display screen and a 15-inch infotainment system.
